Baseball Recap: Mark Twain Comes Up Short

Mark Twain was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat dating back to last season. They lost 11-3 to the Elsberry Indians. The Tigers were not able to make up for their loss to the Indians from their previous meeting back in April of 2024.

Mark Twain got a good showing from Harrison Bogue, who pitched 2.1 innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit.

At the plate, Mark Twain saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Nolan Epperson, who scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-3.

Mark Twain's defeat dropped their record down to 0-3. As for Elsberry, their win (their first of the season) made their record 1-4.

Coming up, Mark Twain will venture away from home to take on Paris at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Elsberry, they will square off against Silex at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
