Baseball Recap: Glasgow Comes Up Short

Glasgow suffered their biggest loss since March 25, 2024 on Monday. They came up short against the South Warren Spartans, falling 9-3. The Scotties have struggled against the Spartans recently, as the game was their third consecutive lost meeting.

Josiah Driver made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and scored a run and stole three bases while going 4-for-4. He has become a key player for Glasgow: the team is 3-1 when he posts at least two stolen bases, but 2-9-1 otherwise. Riley Wenskoski also deserves some recognition as he snagged his first stolen base of the season.

Glasgow's defeat dropped their record down to 5-10-1. As for South Warren, the win was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 12-2.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Glasgow will welcome Bowling Green at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
