After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Detroit Country Day, Groves was happy to have turned things around on Friday. They managed a 48-43 win over the Troy Colts. This was a revenge game for the Falcons: when they faced off against the Colts back in January, they had to take a 60-29 loss.

Groves' success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Harlem Simpson led the charge by going 8-for-18 on her way to 23 points along with seven boards and four steals. That makes it nine consecutive games in which Simpson has scored at least a third of Groves' points. Jacey Roy was another key player, dropping a double-double with 12 points and ten rebounds.

Groves' victory bumped their record up to 5-12. As for Troy, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-11.

Coming up, Groves will be playing in front of their home fans against St. Mary's Prep at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Troy, they will take on Romeo at 7:00 p.m. on Monday.
