Bradley-Bourbonnais was handed a heart-breaking two-run loss in their last game, but they sure didn't let that happen against Bishop McNamara on Thursday. The Boilermakers put the hurt on the Fightin' Irish with a sharp 10-0 win. The victory continues a trend for the Boilermakers in their matchups with the Fightin' Irish: they've now won five in a row.

The result came thanks to Lydia Hammond's shutout, as she gave up just a hit and racked up eight Ks.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Suttyn Hop, who went 3-for-4 with one home run, three runs, and four RBI. That's the most hits she has posted since back in March. The team also got some help courtesy of Olivia Woolman, who went 3-for-4 with two runs and one double.

Bradley-Bourbonnais was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .485. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Bishop McNamara only posted a batting average of .050.

Bradley-Bourbonnais' win bumped their record up to 14-9. As for Bishop McNamara, their defeat ended a four-game streak of away wins and brought them to 14-5.

Looking ahead, Bradley-Bourbonnais will take on Lincoln-Way West at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Boilermakers 3.2, the Warriors 3.8) so any runs scored will be well earned. As for Bishop McNamara, they will challenge St. Edward at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday.
