Basketball Game Preview: Amboy Clippers vs. St. Bede Bruins

Amboy is 0-4 against St. Bede since January of 2015 but things could change on Saturday. The Amboy Clippers will be playing in front of their home fans against the St. Bede Bruins at 2:30 p.m. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this contest.

Last Thursday, Amboy was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap as they fell 57-52 to Morrison. While the Clippers didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Mustangs 13-9 in the first quarter.

Meanwhile, St. Bede was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They were three points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 44-41 heartbreaker at the hands of Midland.

St. Bede's defeat dropped their record down to 11-15. As for Amboy, their loss dropped their record down to 10-14.

Things could have been worse for Amboy, but things could have been a whole lot better as they took a 55-41 loss to St. Bede in their previous matchup back in February of 2024.
