Baseball Game Preview: Howards Grove Tigers vs. Sheboygan Area Lutheran Crusaders

Howards Grove is on a five-game streak of home losses, and Sheboygan Area Lutheran a nine-game streak of away losses dating back to last season. However, someone's due for a change in luck on Monday. The Howards Grove Tigers will host the Sheboygan Area Lutheran Crusaders at 5:00 p.m. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

Howards Grove lost 13-2 to Winnebago Lutheran Academy on Friday.

Howards Grove saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Logan Miller, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one run. Hayden Hanke also deserves some recognition as he brought in his first RBI of the season.

Meanwhile, Sheboygan Area Lutheran fell victim to Cedar Grove-Belgium and their airtight pitching crew on Thursday. They came up short against the Rockets, falling 10-0.

Howards Grove's defeat dropped their record down to 4-18. As for Sheboygan Area Lutheran, their loss dropped their record down to 1-16.

Howards Grove skirted past Sheboygan Area Lutheran 1-0 in their previous meeting back in May of 2024. Will the Tigers repeat their success, or do the Crusaders have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
