Football Recap: Buchanan Turns Things Around After Road Loss

There's no place like home for Buchanan, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Friday. Everything went their way against the Kennedy Thunderbirds on Friday as they made off with a 31-6 victory. The high-flying offensive performance was a huge turnaround for the Bears considering their 13-point performance the game before.

Buchanan didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The team can thank two different players for their defensive prowess: Donovan Dunmore and Grant Moser, who each picked up one interception apiece. Buchanan got some further help from Jayden Turner: he picked up three sacks and made nine total tackles (4.0 for loss).

The win got Buchanan back to even at 1-1. As for Kennedy, their loss dropped their record down to an identical 1-1.

Looking ahead, Buchanan will square off against Edison at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Kennedy, they will look to take advantage of their home field for the first time this season as they take on Highland at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
