Volleyball Recap: Ross County Christian Academy Extends Winning Streak to Three

St. Charles typically has all the answers at home, but on Tuesday Ross County Christian Academy proved too difficult a challenge. They were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Cardinals. The victory was familiar territory for the Eagles, who have now won three contests in a row.

Ross County Christian Academy never let St. Charles on the board, but things got pretty close in the first set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-22, 25-7, 25-14.

Gabe Bevan paced Ross County Christian Academy's offense, picking up 15 kills. Bevan got some help from Nathaniel Clevenger and his 18 assists. Clevenger was also solid from the service line: he led the team with seven aces.

Ross County Christian Academy's win bumped their record up to 6-3. As for St. Charles, their defeat ended an 11-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 11-5.

Coming up, Ross County Christian Academy is taking a road trip to challenge Hillsboro Christian Academy at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for St. Charles, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 3-0 victory against Bishop Hartley on the 15th.
