Softball Recap: Temple Academy Bereans vs. Richmond Bobcats
Temple Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their eighth straight loss. They lost 18-2 to the Richmond Bobcats. The result was an unpleasant reminder to Temple Academy of the 28-2 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in May of 2023.
For Richmond's part, Kaelyn Brillant was a standout: she went 3-for-3 with two stolen bases, four RBI, and two runs. The team also got some help courtesy of Payton Cray, who scored three runs and stole a base while going 2-for-2.
Temple Academy's loss dropped their record down to 0-3. As for Richmond, they now have a winning record of 2-1.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Temple Academy is on the road again on Tuesday to play Valley at 4:00 p.m. As for Richmond, they will face off against Buckfield at 4:00 p.m. on Monday.
