Basketball Recap: Village Christian Academy Comes Up Short

Village Christian Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their 12th straight defeat. They came up short against the Northwood Temple Academy Eagles, falling 42-22. Sadly, that's the second time they've come up short against the Knights this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 43-18 back in December of 2024.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Northwood Temple Academy to victory, but perhaps none more so than Kyleigh Ramos, who posted 18 points and five steals. Northwood Temple Academy is 2-1 when Ramos posts three or more steals, but 2-7 otherwise. Treasure Whitted was another key player, putting up 13 points.

Village Christian Academy's loss dropped their record down to 0-12. As for Northwood Temple Academy, their victory ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 4-8.

Village Christian Academy has already played their next game (against Fayetteville Christian), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Northwood Temple Academy will be playing in front of their home fans against Berean Baptist Academy at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
