Basketball Recap: Kongiganak Picks Up Fourth Straight Win on the Road

Kongiganak had to skate by with only a two-point margin when they last took the court, which might have inspired the 23-point drubbing they dealt Kwigillingok on Friday. Everything went the Kongiganak Wolverines' way against the Kwigillingok Eagles as the Kongiganak Wolverines made off with a 77-54 win. The Wolverines have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won seven matches by 21 points or more this season.

Sam Lewis continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, putting up 29 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Keon Fancyboy, who posted 14 points.

When it comes to explaining why Kwigillingok lost, don't look at Caiden Nichols. Despite the final result, he had 25 points. The game was Nichols' third in a row with at least 25 points. Another player making a difference was Christopher Lewis, who earned 13 points.

Kongiganak pushed their record up to 9-4 with the victory, which was their fourth straight on the road. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 24.2 points. As for Kwigillingok, they are on an 18-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-7.
