Preview: St. Joseph Wildcats vs. Ocean City Raiders
The St. Joseph Wildcats will head out on the road to square off against the Ocean City Raiders at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. One thing working in St. Joseph's favor is that they have posted big point totals in their last seven games.
Even though Atlantic Christian scored an imposing 63 points on Saturday, St. Joseph still came out on top. St. Joseph skirted past Atlantic Christian 65-63. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win St. Joseph has posted yet this season.
Meanwhile, Ocean City came tearing into Thursday's match with four straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 15 points) and they left with even more momentum. They came out on top against St. Augustine Prep by a score of 61-51.
St. Joseph now has a winning record of 8-7. As for Ocean City, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won eight of their last nine contests, which provided a nice bump to their 11-2 record this season.
St. Joseph strolled past Ocean City in their previous matchup back in December of 2023 by a score of 52-34. The rematch might be a little tougher for St. Joseph since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
