Volleyball Recap: Tombstone Takes a Loss

After flying high against Bisbee last Tuesday, Tombstone came back down to earth. The Yellow Jackets lost 3-0 to the Willcox Cowboys on Tuesday. The Yellow Jackets haven't had much luck with the Cowboys recently, as the team has come up short the last six times they've met.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-4, 25-16, 25-14.

Zoey Zimpelman paced Tombstone's offense, picking up three kills. Zimpelman got some help from Khloe Convertino Shaw and her two assists.

Tombstone's loss dropped their record down to 8-8. As for Willcox, they have been performing well recently as they've won seven of their last nine matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 13-7 record this season.

Tombstone has already played their next matchup, a 3-0 victory against San Miguel on the 16th. As for Willcox, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 3-0 defeat against Desert Christian on the 22nd.
