Baseball Game Preview: Upper Darby Royals vs. Interboro Buccaneers

The Upper Darby Royals are taking a road trip to face off against the Interboro Buccaneers at 3:45 p.m. on Thursday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

On Wednesday, Upper Darby came up short against Ridley and fell 5-2. The loss was the Royals' first of the season.

Upper Darby saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Albert MacMichael, who went 1-for-3 with one double and one RBI.

Meanwhile, Interboro lost 18-3 to Great Valley on Monday. The loss continues a trend for the Buccaneers in their meetings with the Patriots: they've now lost three in a row.

Upper Darby's defeat was their sixth straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 2-1. As for Interboro, their loss dropped their record down to 0-2.

Upper Darby took their victory against Interboro when the teams last played back in April of 2022 by a conclusive 17-7. The rematch might be a little tougher for Upper Darby since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
