Volleyball Recap: Dynamic Duo of Raynie Walsh and Aubrey Kohlstedt Lead Richland Center to Victory

There's no place like home for Richland Center, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Thursday. Everything went their way against the Prairie du Chien Blackhawks on Thursday as they made off with a 3-0 win. The victory continues a trend for the Hornets in their matchups with the Blackhawks: they've now won six in a row.

The match finished with set scores of 25-15, 25-6, 25-20.

Leading Richland Center to victory were Aubrey Kohlstedt and Raynie Walsh. Kohlstedt had 19 assists and five digs, while Walsh had 18 assists. Those 18 assists gave Walsh a new career-high. Ella Clements also deserves some recognition as she had her first block of the season.

Richland Center's win bumped their record up to 3-4. As for Prairie du Chien, they dropped their record down to 0-2 with the defeat, which was their tenth straight on the road dating back to last season.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Richland Center will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against Platteville at 7:00 p.m. on the 16th. As for Prairie du Chien, they will square off against River Valley at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
