Trinity Christian takes loss despite strong efforts from Carter Hartsock and Chayce Adams

Recap: Trinity Christian Warriors vs. Tucker County Mountain Lions

After a string of four wins, the Trinity Christian Warriors's good fortune finally ran out on Monday. They were dealt a 91-60 loss at the hands of Tucker County. While losing is never fun, Trinity Christian can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' West Virginia basketball rankings (they are ranked 224th, while Tucker County is ranked 20th).

Trinity Christian's loss came despite strong showings from Chayce Adams and Carter Hartsock. Adams scored 25 points, while Hartsock scored 20 points. Another player making a difference was Parker Hopkins, who scored six points.

Garrett Wilfong continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines for Tucker County, scoring 24 points along with three steals and two blocks. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Wilfong has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Trevan Bonner, who scored 26 points.

Trinity Christian's defeat ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 8-4. As for Tucker County, the victory (which was their eighth in a row) raised their record to 9-2.

Trinity Christian will head out on the road to face off against Webster County at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Tucker County, they will look to defend their home court on Wednesday against Gilmer County at 7:30 p.m. Gilmer County is coming into the matchup on a three-game losing streak.
