Baseball Recap: Trinity Extends Road Winning Streak to Five

Trinity hadn't done well against Camp Hill recently (they were 1-8 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Thursday. Trinity's pitchers stepped up to hand Camp Hill a 3-0 shutout. For the Shamrocks, this counts as revenge for the 4-1 victory the Lions walked away with the last time they faced one another back in May of 2024.

Trinity got a great performance from Liam Sexton as he didn't allow a single earned run while striking out ten over 6.2 innings pitched. Sexton has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than one earned run any time he's pitched this season.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Dominic Haas, who went 1-for-2 with one home run and one stolen base. Gavin Myers also deserves some recognition as he brought in his first RBI of the season.

Trinity's win was their fifth straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 3-1. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 6.2 runs over those games. As for Camp Hill, their loss ended an eight-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 1-3.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Trinity is set to face off against their familiar foe Milton Hershey at 4:15 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Camp Hill will take on rival Steelton-Highspire at 4:15 p.m. on Monday.
