Softball Recap: Cuba City Gets the Win

Cuba City barely beat Southwestern the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Cubans' pitchers stepped up to hand the Wildcats a 17-0 shutout on Thursday. The result was nothing new for the Cubans, who have now won 11 matches by six runs or more so far this season.

Cuba City's victory bumped their record up to 18-3. As for Southwestern, their defeat ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 5-14.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Cuba City will square off against rival Riverdale at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. Meanwhile, Southwestern is set to take on their familiar foe Boscobel at 5:00 p.m. on Monday.
