Recap: Mineral Ridge Rams vs. Waterloo Vikings
The Mineral Ridge Rams lost against the Waterloo Vikings back in December of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. Mineral Ridge took a hard 43-24 fall against Waterloo. Mineral Ridge has not had much luck with Waterloo recently, as the team's come up short the last three times they've met.
Despite the loss, Mineral Ridge saw an underclassman step up: Chase Moore dropped a double-double on ten points and 14 rebounds.
Mineral Ridge dropped their record down to 5-11 with that defeat, which was their fourth straight on the road. Those losses could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 26.0 points per game. As for Waterloo, they are on a roll lately: they've won nine of their last ten contests, which provided a nice bump to their 11-4 record this season.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Mineral Ridge will square off against Lowellville at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Waterloo, they will head out on the road to challenge Jackson-Milton at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
