Hononegah has gone 9-1 against Belvidere recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Friday. The Indians will head out to face off against the Bucs at 4:30 p.m. Hononegah is coming into the game hot, having won their last ten games.

Hononegah's pitching crew heads into the matchup hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Wednesday. They blew past Rockford Auburn 11-0. The result was nothing new for the Indians, who have now won seven contests by six runs or more so far this season.

Hononegah got a massive performance out of Peyton Klikno, who went 3-for-4 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run. Another player making a difference was Kaelyn Kelly, who went 3-for-4 with three runs and two RBI.

Hononegah always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .562. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Rockford Auburn only posted an OBP of .300.

Belvidere never got on the board in their matchup on Monday, but that sure wasn't the case in their game against Freeport on Wednesday. They came out on top against the Pretzels by a score of 17-14.

Hononegah pushed their record up to 14-1 with the win, which was their sixth straight on the road. The road victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.5 runs on average over those games. As for Belvidere, their record is now 10-7.

Everything went Hononegah's way against Belvidere in their previous matchup back in April of 2024, as Hononegah made off with a 16-6 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Indians since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
