Softball Recap: Eagan Wildcats vs. Apple Valley Eagles

Eagan couldn't beat Apple Valley on Wednesday even though they stacked four runs on them in the fourth inning. The Wildcats fell just short of the Eagles by a score of 7-6. Wildcats fans who chose to attend the game sure picked the wrong one: it was the first time the team's lost against the Eagles since on Wednesday.

Isla Loewblosser made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-4 with one triple, one run, and one RBI. That RBI marked the first that she has brought in this season. Taylor Bertrand was another key player, going 2-for-4 with one stolen base and one run.

Eagan's defeat dropped their record down to 3-3. As for Apple Valley, their win was their first in the conference, bumping their conference record up to 1-7 and their overall record up to 2-9.
