Softball Recap: Flathead Gets the Win

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Glacier, Flathead was happy to have turned things around on Saturday. They put the hurt on the Helena Bengals with a sharp 13-1 win. This was payback for the Braves, who suffered a 10-0 loss the last time these two teams met.

Flathead got a massive performance out of Tegan Strauss, who went 1-for-2 with three RBI, two runs, and one stolen base. The team also got some help courtesy of Kinsey Lake, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with three RBI, one run, and one double.

Flathead was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .500. The last time their batting average was this high was back in April of 2025.

Flathead's first victory this season bumped their record up to 1-4. As for Helena, they are on a six-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-4.

Flathead didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, an 11-6 win against Capital on the 11th. As for Helena, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next matchup, an 11-1 defeat against Glacier on the 11th.
