Basketball Game Preview: Forest Lake Rangers vs. East Ridge Raptors

Forest Lake hasn't had much luck against East Ridge recently, but that could start to change on Friday. The Forest Lake Rangers will venture away from home to face off against the East Ridge Raptors at 7:00 p.m. Forest Lake knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past ten games -- so hopefully East Ridge likes a good challenge.

On Tuesday, Forest Lake needed a bit of extra time to put away Irondale. They had just enough and edged the Knights out 71-68. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Rangers have posted since February 9, 2024.

Meanwhile, East Ridge took a blow against Wayzata on Wednesday, falling 110-80. While losing is never fun, the Raptors can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Minnesota basketball rankings (they are ranked 30th, while the Trojans are ranked second).

East Ridge's defeat dropped their record down to 16-7. As for Forest Lake, their victory bumped their record up to 5-16.

Forest Lake might still be hurting after the 91-70 loss they got from East Ridge when the teams last played back in January. Can Forest Lake avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
