Softball Recap: Headland Takes a Loss

Thursday just wasn't the day for Headland's offense. They came up short against the Houston Academy Raiders on Thursday, falling 7-0. The Rams haven't had much luck with the Raiders recently, as the team has come up short the last seven times they've met.

Headland saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Shaylee Greathouse, who went 2-for-3 with one double.

Headland's defeat dropped their record down to 13-8. As for Houston Academy, they are on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six games. That's provided a nice bump to their 13-3 record this season.

Headland will face off against Opp at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Bobcats' pitching crew has only allowed 1.8 runs per game this season, so the Rams' hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Houston Academy, they are taking a road trip to square off against Geneva at 6:00 p.m. on Monday.
