Volleyball Recap: Truckee Extends Winning Streak to Six + How To Watch

Truckee entered their tilt with South Tahoe on Friday with five consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with six. They walked away with a 3-1 win over the Vikings. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 3-0 back in September.

Truckee got the W, but it wasn't easy, at least in the third set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-23, 25-17, 28-30, 25-21.

Madison Mclellan paced Truckee's offense, picking up 14 kills. Mclellan got some help from Makenna Hogland and her 35 assists. Averi Costa controlled things from the service line, finishing with five aces.

Truckee's victory bumped their record up to 21-6. As for South Tahoe, with the loss, they broke their three-match winning streak and moved their record to 16-13.

Coincidentally, Truckee and South Tahoe will both be playing Sparks the next time they take the court. The Vikings will host the Railroaders at 6:00 p.m. on Saturday, while the Wolverines will host them at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
