Jefferson had lost six games on the road dating back to last season, but after bumping their record up to 2-3 on Wednesday that streak is in the rearview. They walked away with a 74-63 win over the Santee Falcons. The Democrats' offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.

As for Santee, their defeat was their sixth straight at home dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 0-6. Those home losses can't be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they've averaged 50.2 points this season.

Santee lost despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was Darnell Miller, who posted 22 points and eight rebounds. His afternoon made it eight games in a row in which he has scored at least 16 points. Andrew Serano was another key player, putting up 15 points in addition to five assists and three steals.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Jefferson is set to take on their familiar foe Dr. Maya Angelou Community at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Santee will face off against rival Diego Rivera at 4:00 p.m. on Friday.
