Softball Recap: Ansonia Comes Up Short

Ansonia lost against Covington on Wednesday, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. The Tigers might be feeling deja-vu: they lost 14-3 to the Buccs, which was the same score (and result) they got the week prior. The Tigers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Addie Geyer and Shyann McKenna stepped up to the plate in a big way. Geyer went 2-for-3 with one run, one double, and one RBI, while McKenna went 2-for-3 with one stolen base, one run, and one double.

Ansonia's defeat dropped their record down to 16-13. As for Covington, the victory (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 21-9.

Ansonia does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Covington, they have already played their next contest, a 10-6 win against Southeastern Local on the 31st.
