Soccer Game Preview: East Chapel Hill vs. Chapel Hill

East Chapel Hill hasn't had much luck against Chapel Hill recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. The Wildcats will take on the Tigers at 6:45 p.m. After the two teams made easy work of their previous opponents, one won't be so lucky on Tuesday.

East Chapel Hill barely beat Riverside-Durham the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Wildcats never let the Pirates get on the board and left with a 3-0 win on Thursday. Considering East Chapel Hill have won six games by more than two goals this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.

They hit Riverside-Durham with a three-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Evie Spaeth, Katherine Jones, and Valini Kshirsagar.

Chapel Hill fell on hard times earlier this season, but after back-to-back victories it seems like their luck might finally be changing. They were the clear victors by a 9-0 margin over Hillside on Thursday. That's two games straight that Chapel Hill have won by exactly nine goals.

Chapel Hill picked up their first home win, bumping their record up to 3-6-1. As for East Chapel Hill, their victory bumped their record up to 8-4-1.

East Chapel Hill couldn't quite get it done against Chapel Hill when the teams last played back in May of 2024 as they fell 3-1. Can the Wildcats avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
