Football Recap: Kingsburg Drops Season-High Score on Washington Union

Kingsburg extended their winning streak to three on Friday, bumping them up to 4-2. They walked away with a 35-28 victory over the Washington Union Panthers. The Vikings' offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.

On the defensive side of the ball, a lot of the credit has to go to Kingsburg's defense and their three sacks. Kannon Tate was especially locked on to Washington Union's QB and sacked him twice. Tate also made six total tackles, which is notable because Kingsburg is undefeated when he posts at least three total tackles, but 1-2 otherwise.

As for Washington Union, their loss dropped their record down to 4-2. They gained 57 more yards on the day, but it was Kingsburg that made the best use of them.

Despite the loss, Washington Union still got an impressive performance from Mckinley Williams, who threw for 210 yards and four TDs. Jareal Albert handled things on the ground, rushing for 83 yards.

Coming up, Kingsburg will challenge Central Valley Christian at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. The Vikings will be up against the Cavaliers' rather soft defense (which has allowed 33.5 points per game), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for Washington Union, they will square off against Exeter at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
