Basketball Recap: Marengo Takes a Loss

Marengo was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their eighth straight defeat. They might have been a little too into the holiday spirit, gifting the Stillman Valley Cardinals an easy 52-31 win. The match marked the Indians' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Marengo's loss dropped their record down to 1-10. As for Stillman Valley, they pushed their record up to 3-4 with the victory, which was their third straight at home.

Marengo and Rockford Christian will compete for holiday cheer at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. Rockford Christian will roll in looking for their ninth straight win, something Marengo surely won't give up without a fight. As for Stillman Valley, they will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against Orangeville at 6:45 p.m. on January 7, 2025.
