Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Madonna). Their pitchers stepped up to hand the Wellsville Tigers a 23-0 shutout on Tuesday. Considering the Blue Dons have won 12 games by more than five runs this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.

Madonna got a massive performance out of David Connors, who went 3-for-4 with three runs, two RBI, and one double. Connors is on a roll when it comes to hits, as he's now got three or more in each of the last three games he's played. Another player making a difference was Jacob Lazear, who went 2-for-3 with three runs, three RBI, and one double.

Madonna pushed their record up to 14-2 with the win, which was their seventh straight on the road. The road victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 0.6 runs on average over those games. As for Wellsville, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-10.
