Lyons entered their tilt with Nazareth Academy on Saturday with two consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with three. Their defense stepped up to hand the Roadrunners a 2-0 shutout. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Lyons also won the last time the pair played back in May of 2024.

Caroline Mortonson and Emma Thimm scored both of Lyons' goals, bringing their combined season tally to 15 goals.

Lyons pushed their record up to 8-8-1 with the win, which was their fourth straight at home. Those home victories came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only given up one goal over those four contests. As for Nazareth Academy, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 11-7-1 record this season.

Lyons will venture away from home to face off against York at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Nazareth Academy, they have already played their next match, a 4-0 loss against Saint Ignatius College Prep on the 12th.
