While Olathe didn't have the best season last year (they finished 5-14), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past. They came out on top against the Salida Spartans by a score of 6-3 on Friday. Winning may never get old, but the Pirates sure are getting used to it with their fourth in a row.

Evan Eddy spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered three earned runs on seven hits and racked up 15 Ks. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't given up more than two walks in three consecutive appearances.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Braylon Lujan, who scored a run and stole four bases while going 2-for-3. Another player making a difference was Bryce Good, who scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-2.

Olathe's record is now 6-1. As for Salida, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-2.

Olathe has already played their next contest, a 13-1 loss against Battle Mountain on the 28th. As for Salida, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next match, a 13-9 defeat against Steamboat Springs on the 28th.
