Basketball Recap: Kemmerer Comes Up Short

Kemmerer was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their eighth straight loss. They were five points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 31-26 heartbreaker at the hands of the Lyman Eagles. The Rangers lost against the Eagles in their previous head to head back in December of 2022, too, but the margin this time around was much closer than the 61-18 score last time.

Lyman's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Owen Hansen, who posted seven points and five steals. Anna France was another key player, putting up five points and seven steals.

Kemmerer's defeat dropped their record down to 3-12. As for Lyman, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 11-4.

Coincidentally, the two teams will both be playing Mountain View the next time they take the court. Kemmerer will host Mountain View at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday, while Lyman will host them at 5:30 p.m. on Friday.
