Volleyball Recap: Naseem Hennouch Key Part of Team Effort in Lancers Win

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Simsbury, Bristol Eastern was happy to have turned things around on Wednesday. They walked away with a 3-1 win over the Avon Falcons. For the Lancers, this counts as revenge for the 3-2 victory the Falcons walked away with the last time they faced one another back in November of 2024.

The match finished with set scores of 25-22, 25-27, 25-15, 25-12.

Bristol Eastern's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Naseem Hennouch, who had seven digs and three aces. Hennouch is on a roll when it comes to aces, as she's now served two or more in each of the last 12 games she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Ashley Adorno, who had five aces and four digs.

They weren't the only good servers: Bristol Eastern was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 21 aces. They are 8-3 when they serve at least ten aces.

Bristol Eastern pushed their record up to 10-7 with the win, which was their fourth straight at home. As for Avon, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 6-11.

Bristol Eastern didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 3-1 victory against Cheshire on the 20th. As for Avon, they have also already played their next matchup, a 3-0 defeat against Farmington on the 21st.
