Baseball Recap: Grand Junction Central's Win on Friday Extends Winning Streak to Three

Grand Junction Central had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 7 runs) and they went ahead and made it three on Friday. Everything went their way against the Montrose Red Hawks as they made off with a 10-0 victory. The home team had taken home the W every time these teams have met since April 23, 2022, but that streak is no more.

The team relied heavily on Parker Shahan, who went 2-for-3 with three RBI and two runs. That's the most RBI he has posted since back in March. The team also got some help courtesy of Ryan Moyer, who went 1-for-2 with three RBI and one run.

Grand Junction Central picked up their first road win, bumping their record up to 6-16. As for Montrose, they are on a nine-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-19.

Coming up, Grand Junction Central will square off against Rifle at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. Montrose does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
