Northwest Christian had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 5.5 runs) and they went ahead and made it three on Thursday. Everything went their way against the San Tan Foothills Sabercats as they made off with a 19-9 win. Considering the Crusaders have won seven matches by more than eight runs this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.

Riley Jeide and Caylie Thomas did most of the damage at the plate: Jeide went 2-for-3 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs, while Thomas went a perfect 3-for-3 with six RBI and three runs. That's the most RBI Jeide has posted since back in February. Kinsey Unger was another key player, scoring three runs and stealing two bases while going 4-for-4.

Northwest Christian always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .561. They are a perfect 7-0 when they post an OBP of .513 or better.

Northwest Christian's victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 10-4. The home wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 17.7 runs over those games. As for San Tan Foothills, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 2-11.

Looking ahead, Northwest Christian is taking a road trip to face off against Benjamin Franklin at 3:45 p.m. on Tuesday. As for San Tan Foothills, they will be playing at home against Florence at 6:00 p.m. on Monday.
