Basketball Recap: Orange Lutheran Gets the Win

Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Orange Lutheran walked away with it. They snuck past the Arcadia Apaches with a 79-74 win on Wednesday.

Despite the loss, Arcadia saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Nick Wallace Jr shot 69% from the field en route to 21 points and six assists. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Wallace Jr has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Tyrese Butler, who went 6-for-11 to rack up 13 points and three steals.

Orange Lutheran's victory bumped their record up to 19-9. As for Arcadia, their defeat ended an 11-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 23-6.

Coming up, Orange Lutheran will challenge Rolling Hills Prep at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Huskies will roll in looking for their fifth straight win, something the Lancers surely won't give up without a fight. Arcadia does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
