Softball Recap: West Geauga Wolverines vs. Kenston Bombers
After losing to Kenston the last time they met, West Geauga decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. The Wolverines blew past the Bombers 14-5 on Wednesday. Considering the Wolverines have won six games by more than eight runs this season, Wednesday's blowout was nothing new.
Lely Percassi made a splash while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, striking out six batters over seven innings while giving up three earned (and two unearned) runs off three hits. Percassi was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-4 with two runs.
In other batting news, West Geauga got a massive performance out of Michaela Platt, who went 2-for-3 with two runs, two RBI, and one double. Those two hits gave Platt a new career-high. Dayana Malone was another key player, going 2-for-4 with three RBI, two doubles, and one run.
