Baseball Recap: Evangelical Christian Takes a Loss

Evangelical Christian came into their game on Monday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They lost 8-2 to the Northpoint Christian Trojans. The Eagles were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Trojans apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in April of 2024.

Evangelical Christian saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jack Gates, who scored a run while going 2-for-3.

With the defeat, Evangelical Christian broke their three-game winning streak and moved their record to 11-6. As for Northpoint Christian, the win (which was their sixth in a row) raised their record to 7-1-1.

While Evangelical Christian had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
