Baseball Game Preview: Mancelona Ironmen vs. McBain Ramblers

The Mancelona Ironmen will head out to square off against the McBain Ramblers at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Mancelona is coming into the matchup on a three-game losing streak.

Mancelona came into this matchup off a tough six-run loss on Wednesday. This time they kept things ultra-competitive, but unfortunately the final result was the same. They fell just short of Inland Lakes by a score of 9-7 on Friday.

Mancelona saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Ryan Naumcheff, who went 2-for-4 with one run, one double, and one RBI. Xavier Wambaugh also deserves some recognition as he got his first hit of the season.

Pine River Area hit McBain with a eight-run first inning on Monday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Ramblers lost 11-3 to the Bucks.

McBain has also traveled a rocky road recently, having lost four of their last five games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-6-1 record this season. As for Mancelona, their defeat dropped their record down to 9-8.
