Soccer Game Preview: Antioch vs. Mount Juliet

The Antioch Bears will head out to face off against the Mount Juliet Golden Bears at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.

Antioch is likely headed into the match with a focus on the second half, which is when things went downhill against Cane Ridge on Tuesday. The Bears fell just short of the Ravens by a score of 2-1. That's two games in a row now that Antioch have lost by just one goal.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Mount Juliet). Everything went their way against Henry County on Sunday as they made off with a 3-0 victory. The game was close at halftime, but Mount Juliet turned on the heat in the second half with two goals.

They hit Henry County with a three-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Connor McCarthy, Jake Thompson, and Jonas Winter.

The win made it two in a row for Mount Juliet and bumps their season record up to 2-4-1. Those victories came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only given up zero goals over those two contests. As for Antioch, this is the second loss in a row for them and also nudges their season record down to 2-4-1.
