Central City had already won 14 in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 28.7 points) and they went ahead and made it 15 on Wednesday. They enjoyed a cozy 56-38 win over the Kearney Catholic Stars. This was payback for the Bison, who suffered a 52-22 loss the last time these two teams met.

Central City's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Sydni Homolka, who went 7-for-11 en route to 17 points and five boards. What's more, Homolka also posted a 67% three-point shooting accuracy, which is the highest she's achieved since back in February of 2024. Journi Schindler was another key player, putting up 11 points and three steals.

Defeat or not, Kearney Catholic got some senior leadership from Payton Dzingle and Rylie O'Hare. Dzingle posted eight points and six rebounds, while O'Hare put up eight points.

Central City's win bumped their record up to 23-2. As for Kearney Catholic, their loss dropped their record down to 12-12.

Central City has already played their next matchup, a 54-46 defeat against Gothenburg on the 20th. Kearney Catholic does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
