Softball Recap: Deer River Comes Up Short

Deer River was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their 14th straight loss dating back to last season. They came up short against the International Falls Broncos, falling 21-1. If the Warriors were looking for revenge after losing 18-0 to the Broncos when the teams met back in May of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Deer River's defeat dropped their record down to 0-9. As for International Falls, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 6-9 record this season.

Deer River wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next matchup, a 21-0 loss against South Ridge on the 13th. As for International Falls, they have also already played their next game, a 12-1 win against North Woods on the 16th.
