Softball Recap: Dacula Triumphs

Dacula lost to Monroe Area back in August of 2024, but they didn't allow them the same satisfaction on Saturday. The Falcons won by a run and slipped past the Purple Hurricanes 14-13.

Dacula's win was truly a team effort as ten different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Paisley Brown, who went 2-for-4 with one home run and five RBI. Those five RBI gave Brown a new career-high. Ellie Curtis was another, getting on base in four of her five plate appearances with two runs, one double, and one RBI.

The victory got Dacula back to even at 1-1. As for Monroe Area, their loss ended a seven-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 1-2.

Coming up, Dacula will challenge Loganville at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Monroe Area, they will venture away from home to square off against Winder-Barrow at 5:30 p.m. on Monday.
