Basketball Recap: Southside Takes a Loss

Southside lost against Fort Payne two weeks ago and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Southside Panthers took a 43-33 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Fort Payne Wildcats. The game marked the Panthers' lowest-scoring matchup so far this season.

Southside has traveled a rocky road recently having lost four of their last five contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 12-12 record this season. As for Fort Payne, they have been performing well recently as they've won six of their last eight matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 16-6 record this season.

Southside has already played their next game, a 61-40 defeat against Gadsden City on the 24th. As for Fort Payne, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 46-32 win against Westminster Christian Academy on the 23rd.
