Basketball Game Preview: Walnut Grove Wildcats vs. McKinney North Bulldogs

The Walnut Grove Wildcats will venture away from home to square off against the McKinney North Bulldogs at 1:00 p.m. on Friday. Walnut Grove will be strutting in after a win while McKinney North will be coming in after a loss.

Walnut Grove picked up another tournament win on Friday. They came out on top against Rockwall by a score of 47-40.

Meanwhile, McKinney North came up short against Princeton on Saturday and fell 54-43. While losing is never fun, the Bulldogs can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 346th, while the Panthers are ranked 69th).

This is the second loss in a row for McKinney North and nudges their season record down to 8-12. As for Walnut Grove, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 14-6 record this season.
