Basketball Recap: Celina Comes Up Short

Celina was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They received a blow as they fell 53-37 to the Lake Dallas Falcons. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Bobcats of the 63-39 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in November of 2019.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Lake Dallas to victory, but perhaps none more so than Maizen Gillam, who posted 19 points along with five rebounds and four steals. The game was Gillam's sixth in a row with at least ten points. Presley Scott was another key player, putting up 13 points and three blocks.

Celina's loss dropped their record down to 10-10. As for Lake Dallas, the win (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 14-9.

Celina will look to defend their home court on Friday against Gainesville at 6:15 p.m. As for Lake Dallas, they will head out to face off against Van Alstyne at 6:15 p.m. on Friday.
