Fairview has gone a perfect 10-0 against Northwestern recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Wednesday. The Tigers will face off against the Wildcats at 4:00 p.m. Northwestern took a loss in their last match and will be looking to turn the tables on Fairview, who comes in off a win.

Fairview's pitching crew heads into the game hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Monday. They came out on top against Girard by a score of 4-0. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Tigers.

Tyler Benford was a major factor while hitting and pitching. He pitched three innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in six consecutive appearances. He was also big at the plate, going 2-for-3 with two runs.

Benford wasn't the only one making solid contact as four players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Andrew Stevens, who went 1-for-3 with one run and one double.

Meanwhile, after soaring to ten runs the game before, Northwestern was a bit more limited in their contest on Saturday. They fell 5-1 to Girard.

Northwestern has also traveled a rocky road recently, having lost eight of their last nine matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-9 record this season. As for Fairview, their win bumped their record up to 7-3.

Fairview was able to grind out a solid victory over Northwestern when the teams last played on April 9th, winning 6-1. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Tigers since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
