Softball Recap: Lowcountry Leadership Wins Going Away Against Whale Branch

Lowcountry Leadership won the last time they faced Whale Branch and things went their way on Wednesday too. The NaviGators were the clear victors by a 14-2 margin over the Warriors. Considering the NaviGators have won four matches by more than eight runs this season, Wednesday's blowout was nothing new.

Harley Winn was a major factor while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she kept things locked down with no earned runs or hits while striking out 11 over four innings pitched. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than two hits in three consecutive appearances. She was also solid in the batter's box, scoring two runs and stealing a base.

In other batting news, Becky Gaskins was a standout: she went a perfect 3-for-3 with one home run, four RBI, and two runs. Bailee Blome was another key player, going a perfect 3-for-3 with one home run, three runs, and four RBI.

Lowcountry Leadership lost a few balls and finished the game with three home runs. That's the most home runs they've posted since back in March of 2024.

Lowcountry Leadership's victory bumped their record up to 6-4. As for Whale Branch, they dropped their record down to 1-13 with the defeat, which was their third straight on the road.

Lowcountry Leadership and Whale Branch will both get a bit of extra prep time before their next games. The next time the NaviGators see the field they'll take on Academic Magnet at 5:00 p.m. on the 24th. As for Whale Branch, their break will end when they face Cross at 6:00 p.m. on the 22nd.
